1000 Strong Overcoming Obstacles 5K
Restoration House Ministries presents a trail event at Patriot Park (1867 Fordyce Rd, Victoria, TX) that combines running with permanent obstacles, pop-up challenges and mud pits. The course runs on and off road and is maintained for year-round foot access; the grass is mowed beginning in February.

Obstacles include structures such as a pressure wall and monkey bars; workout gloves are recommended. Participants may skip an obstacle by performing 20 burpees or by surrendering a bracelet to a volunteer, though surrendering the bracelet makes the participant ineligible for awards. Teammates may assist each other on obstacles and teams must complete the course together to be eligible for team awards.
Awards are presented to the first three finishers in adult (20 years and older) and youth (under 20 years) categories for each event. A Corporate Cup is awarded to the first team of five to finish the Obstacle 5K together.
Vendors, health and wellness exhibitors, and food trucks will be on site. Early packet pick up is available the night before at Restoration House Ministries Gleanings Resale Shop (1204 N. Moody) with a store discount offered to racers. Spectators are welcome; attendees are advised to enter via HWY 59/Moody St to Timber Hwy 236 and may bring a camp chair.
