Event overview
The 1000 Strong Overcoming Obstacles 5K takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Patriot Park, 1867 Fordyce Rd, Victoria, TX. The event includes a standard 5k and an Obstacle 5k. All proceeds benefit Restoration House Ministries. Health and wellness vendors and food trucks will be present, and spectators are welcome.

Course and format
The course is a trail run with on- and off-road sections. The event features permanent obstacle structures, pop-up challenges, and mud pits. The path is accessible by foot year-round and is mowed starting in February. Workout gloves are recommended for the pressure wall and monkey bars. Participants may skip an obstacle by completing a penalty of 20 burpees or by surrendering a bracelet to the obstacle volunteer; those who surrender a bracelet can still finish the race but will be ineligible for awards. Teams must complete the course and finish together to qualify for team recognition.
Awards and logistics
Awards will recognize the first three finishers in adult (20 years and older) and youth (under 20 years) categories for each race type (5k and Obstacle 5k). A Corporate Cup is awarded to the first team of five to finish the Obstacle 5k together. Early packet pick-up is available the night before at the Restoration House Ministries Gleanings resale shop.
