Tactical Obstacle Course in Downtown El Paso
The Badass Human Race is an urban obstacle event held in Downtown El Paso. This event features a specific course length and a series of technical challenges throughout the city terrain. The course involves a total distance of 3 miles and includes more than 15 functional obstacles designed to test conditioning, grip, and stamina.
The event utilizes an asphalt and urban environment, incorporating a mix of strength-based tasks and agility tests. The planned route includes the following obstacle categories:

For the 2026 edition, the event has updated its infrastructure to include assigned wave start times to manage participant flow and reduce congestion. The course features multiple hydration stations, specific recovery zones, and ice cooling areas. Each obstacle is supervised by trained captains and includes clear instructional signage. Safety measures include the placement of mats under fall-risk obstacles and the availability of bypass routes for participants.
The event atmosphere is supported by live DJs located throughout the course, fitness challenges, and a dedicated area for health and wellness vendors, food trucks, and local restaurants. Participants can register individually or as part of a team, with specific discount structures for groups reaching ten or more members.
