Event overview
The Gladiator Assault Challenge takes place on Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17, 2026 at Seven Oaks Recreation, 1086 222nd Drive, Boone, Iowa 50036. Organizers describe the event as a test of endurance, speed, agility, strength, and mental stamina. The event uses obstacle courses made of natural and man-made features that require running, climbing, jumping, crawling, balancing, and MUD. Logistics and entry
The weekend includes a Full Gladiator Assault Challenge, a 5K Charge, a Junior/Parent 5K, and an Elite Heat option. Registration is scheduled to open November 1. Pricing for the Full Gladiator Assault Challenge and the 5K Charge is tiered by month: November-December $59, January $69, February $79, March $89, April $99, and May $109. The Elite Heat carries an additional $10 fee. Juniors in the Junior/Parent event are $35; parents pay the going rate. All participants receive a finisher t-shirt, a Gladiator Medal, and finish-line fruit and drink. First, second, and third place finishers in the men's and women's divisions receive an engraved Gladiator Sword. The event is self-timed; a clock will be available at the finish line.
