Log Jammer Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The Log Jammer event takes place in Shreveport, Louisiana, with all races starting and finishing at the Sportspectrum parking lot on Fern Avenue. The event features several distance options to accommodate different types of participants:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Two-person Marathon Relay: 13.1 miles per person
- 5K: 3.1 miles
The marathon course begins with hilly terrain as it passes through the South Highlands neighborhood for the first several miles. After mile 10, the route becomes flat. Participants in the full marathon must be at least 19 years old and complete the course within a 6.5 hour time limit. The half marathon has a time limit of 3.5 hours. For the relay, the first member runs the initial 13.1 miles before tagging their partner to complete the second half of the course. Wheelchair divisions are available for all three distances.
All finishers receive a medal. After the race, a party and awards ceremony are held featuring food and beverages. Awards are presented to top overall finishers, masters categories, and age group winners. For those traveling from out of town, lodging is available at a nearby hotel located approximately 1.5 miles from the start and finish line.
