Event details
Loop the 'Lupe is an obstacle course and run/walk event held in Seattle in early June 2026. The event offers multiple options: an obstacle course 5K, a 5K fun run/walk with no obstacles, a Senior Saunter (100% flat, no obstacles), and a Youth Dash around a 1K loop. Entry includes a tech race shirt, bib, and a finisher medal for all events. Proceeds support the social outreach work of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in West Seattle.
Course and format
The core course is a 1K loop around Walt Hundley Playfield. Participants complete five laps to cover the 5K distance. The Family Wave follows a 7-obstacle loop each lap. The Elite Wave features 9 obstacles per loop; two Elite obstacles may close 40 minutes after that wave starts, after which remaining Elite participants continue on the 7-obstacle course. Obstacles include elements such as tires, walls, and mud pits. The Youth Dash is one lap of the 1K, and the Senior Saunter is a flat, no-obstacle walk.
