Mudders and Grunters - Yorktown Heights
Mudders and Grunters takes place on March 29, 2026, in Yorktown Heights, NY, at 2957 Crompond Rd. The event uses an approximately 5 mile single loop course run off road.
The course goes through muck, mud and water and includes multiple water crossings and some hills. Water depth and overall course difficulty depend on pre-race weather. Runners are advised to wear old shoes and clothes. The event is open to ages 13 to 99; no runners under 13 are permitted. A tee-shirt is available to the first 100 registrants, with no size guarantees. Post run food will be provided.
Registration details listed include a pre-registration fee of $35 with a $5 discount for TRR members, a reduced fee of $15 for ages 13 to 18, and race day registration at $40. Individual awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and by age groups.
Mudders and Grunters is part of the 2026 Trail Mix Series. The series features seven trail races in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. Series scoring requires completion of at least four of the seven races, with each runner's best four results counting toward series totals. Runners who complete the series are eligible for overall and age-category recognition and receive automatic selection in the Leatherman's Loop lottery for the following year.
