Events
The event features three main activities.
- 5K (Ages 13 and up)
- 5K (Ages 8-12 years)
- Fun Run (Ages 4 and up)
The 5K course takes place on trails at Montvale and includes 20 obstacles, such as Adversity Hill, Tire Traverse, and the A-Frame Climb. Participants can run individually or as part of a team, and costumes are encouraged. The 5K events are timed for all participants and teams. The Fun Run is an untimed event covering approximately 1.2 miles, featuring trail running, field running, obstacles, and mud.
Awards and Amenities
Medals are awarded to the fastest three male and three female overall finishers in the 18+ category, and to the fastest three male and three female overall finishers in the 17 and under category. Trophies are given for the largest team, the fastest team, and the best team costumes. All participants receive a participation pin and event swag.
On-site amenities include vendors, food trucks, refreshments, and music. Post-race, there are changing areas and outdoor showers available.
Logistics and Rules
Parking opens at 8:15 AM at the designated, fenced-in area at the front of the property, with accessible parking available. A team must have a minimum of four participants. The use of headphones, baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades, and pets is prohibited on the course for both the 5K and Fun Run. Runners are advised to tape their shoes securely.
Online registration is available through May 3, 2026. A t-shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by April 2, 2026. Packet pickup is available on specific days prior to the event at locations in Knoxville and Maryville, with limited pickup available on race day from 8:30 AM.
The 5K features a windowed start system with three corrals: 10:00-10:30 AM, 10:30-11:00 AM, and 11:00-11:30 AM. Participants must select a corral during registration. All participants still on the course at 12:30 PM will be picked up by race personnel.
Beneficiary
The event raises funds for Harmony Family Center's therapeutic programming at Camp Montvale, including equine therapy and therapeutic camps for foster and adoptive children and families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
