About the race
The Murphysboro Mud Monster Run – Obstacle Course is held at Riverside Park in Murphysboro, Illinois. The course covers about 5 kilometers and features more than 18 obstacles including mud trenches, foam pits, ice baths, ropes, crawls, slip-and-slides, and teamwork challenges, all culminating in plenty of mud. Participants enjoy a festive atmosphere with on-site food and drinks, showers and changing rooms, and an after-party with live music, vendors, and a kids’ area.
The event includes a custom finishers medal designed by a local sculptor, a soft T‑shirt, and a beer ticket for runners 21+. Registration supports the Murphysboro Chamber of Commerce. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
