About the race

The Orlando Spartan Weekend takes place at Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida. This event features a variety of obstacle course races designed to test endurance and physical strength across the natural Florida landscape. Participants navigate various terrain and man-made hurdles depending on their chosen distance.

The weekend includes several distinct race categories and events:

  • Sprint: A 5 km course featuring 20 obstacles with an average completion time of approximately one hour and 32 minutes.
  • Super: A 10 km course that includes 25 obstacles.
  • Kids Race: Distances ranging from 1 km to 3 km including obstacles specifically for younger participants.
  • Hurricane Heat 4HR: A four hour team based endurance event.
  • Obstacle Workshop: A session held the day before the main races to practice techniques.

The event is co-hosted by Visit Orlando and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a team to ensure shared start times.
