Event overview
The PAPER MAKER OCR is the 5th annual obstacle course race held on July 18, 2026 in Camas, Washington at Lacamas Lake Regional Park. The event includes an adult main OCR and a separate kids race for ages 4 to 8. The kids race runs in short heats every five minutes and requires parent supervision; each child receives a Paper Maker Kiddo Race shirt at the finish. The event offers a festival area with food vendors, music, and a finisher wall.
Course and competition
The main course is 4 miles with 14+ obstacles. Obstacles are natural-style and built into the terrain; examples include crawls, carries, balance tests, tree hurdles, and log jumps. Terrain features packed dirt trails, rocky paths, shaded forest corridors, tree-rooted trails, rolling hills, and a few water crossings. Bypass options are available to modify or skip obstacles. The event runs multiple heat types including Competitive, Open Community, and Team & Friends waves. Cash prizes are listed for the top two male and top two female finishers in the Competitive division; competitive racers must complete all obstacles to standard and finish the full course to be eligible for prizes.
