Run Wild Races

Website

Run Wild Races is a bi-annual event held at the Metro Richmond Zoo in Moseley, Virginia, designed to support animal conservation efforts. Participants can choose from a 1-mile fun run, a 5k all-terrain race, or the Wild Ninja obstacle course, which features up to 42 challenging obstacles inspired by American Ninja Warrior. The courses wind through the zoo, offering views of animals like rhinos, zebras, and cheetahs, with terrain including pavement, dirt, grass, and gravel.

After racing, participants receive free zoo admission, and spectators get a discount. Proceeds benefit vulnerable species such as the African lion, promoting awareness and conservation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
