About the race
San Antonio Spartan Event Weekend at Sandy Oaks Ranch near Devine, TX (about 40 minutes southwest of San Antonio) offers three Spartan races: Sprint 5K with 20 obstacles, Super 10K with 25 obstacles, and Beast 21K with 30 obstacles, plus a Kids Race. The course blends Texas scenery—rolling hills, creek crossings, and wildlife-filled trails—with classic Spartan obstacles such as Atlas Carry, A-Frame Cargo, Barbed Wire Crawl, Fire Jump, Rope Climb, Spear Throw, and Multi-Rig. The finish area offers a festival atmosphere with music and a beer garden, and racers can pursue the Trifecta by completing all three distances.
