TOUGH SHEEP : Reno, NV
TOUGH SHEEP takes place in late January and early February 2027 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. The event program includes multiple timed waves and two principal workout events held over consecutive days in late January.
The Hunt Giveaway Workout is capped at 510 participants and runs in 30-person waves. Participants may select a branded wave; brands can offer benefits to members of their wave. The workout emphasizes completion and is designed to simulate the physical and mental demands of a sheep hunt. Finishers are entered to win a 10-day Dall's Sheep hunt in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge; the drawn winner must be present and is responsible for travel, supplies, and gratuity. Additional raffle prizes are offered for workout finishers.
The MTNTOUGH Pro Competition Workout is a strictly judged and timed event focused on elite fitness for backcountry athletes. Top male and top female finishers each receive a cash prize of $2,500 or $3,000 in floor credit. The competition is inspired by HYROX and features elite CrossFitters, MTNTOUGH athletes, and other serious competitors; additional prizes are awarded to top finishers.
The event lists sponsors and names the Wild Sheep Foundation among affiliated organizations. Previous TOUGH SHEEP fundraising supported wild sheep conservation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
