The TugMudDare Adventure Run
The TugMudDare Adventure Run takes place at Snow Ridge Resort in Turin, New York. This obstacle course event is situated within a ski area in the Tug Hill-Adirondack Region. The primary route features approximately 2000 vertical feet of elevation change, leading participants across ridge lines, through streams, and across various hills.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K (Individual)
- 5K (Team Heats)
- 1.5K (Kids ages 3-12)
The individual 5K heat is a competitive race where prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. This category is intended for solo participants age 13 and older. The team heats focus on cooperation and fun rather than competition. There is no minimum or maximum size for a team, and while finish times are tracked, no prizes are awarded for these heats.
The event also features a specific course for younger participants known as TMD Tikes. This 1.5K run is held on a separate, smaller course. It is divided into two age groups: 3-7 years and 8-12 years. All children participating in the 3-7 age group must be accompanied by an adult supervisor. Each child receives a t-shirt and a medal upon completing the course. Registration for all events is available until the specified deadlines, and no refunds are issued for this event.
