Ultimate OCR 3K Championship
The Ultimate OCR 3K Championship is staged as a short-course obstacle race presented in multiple editions. The event is listed for July 11, 2025 at Dallas Market Hall and for July 13, 2026 at New Holland Arena. The course covers a full 3k distance arranged in 300 m increments and includes more than 25 obstacles.
The event uses a three-band system for scoring and penalties. Obstacles are classified as mandatory completion (examples: walls, crawls, carries) or single-attempt (examples: rigs and technical obstacles). For mandatory obstacles athletes may take repeated attempts; failure to complete a mandatory obstacle results in forfeiture of remaining bands and removal from award eligibility. Single-attempt obstacles allow only one try; failure removes one band. Updated notes also state a maximum of three attempts at some obstacles, after which a band is removed. Officials are posted at obstacle stations to observe and cut bands as required. A penalty loop placed after the final obstacle and before the finish must be completed once per band lost when applicable.
Competition structure includes an Elite division plus age groups (13-15, 16-29, 30-49, 50+) and youth classes (7-9, 10-12), plus an Open class. Elite and age divisions are timed using chip timing; the Open class is untimed. There are no pre-qualifications. Prizes include a reported $4,000 purse for Elite male and female winners, large medals for top three in each age and Elite, and a finisher medal and shirt for all participants.
