YMCA Families On! Challenge : May 2, 2026
The YMCA Families On! Challenge is a family-focused, self-paced outdoor event held at A.E. Finley YMCA in Raleigh, NC. The course exceeds 2 miles and includes more than 20 creative challenges across dirt, grass, paved and natural trails with a few easy hills. Course conditions depend on weather.
The program offers two individual entry categories: YMCA members and non-members. Early pricing and t-shirt deadlines apply; a t-shirt is included with registration if completed by April 15. All finishers receive a Families ON! Challenge medal. Online registration closes on May 1; there is no race day registration.
Safety and support on course include an athletic trainer at a medical tent near check-in and a self-serve water station. Participants are advised to carry their own water. No dogs or bikes are permitted. Headphones are strongly discouraged for safety and to hear course instructions. Strollers must be registered, numbered, properly buckled, and accompanied by a registered parent; helmets for children in strollers are strongly encouraged.
Packet pick-up requires a photo ID or a guardian with a photo ID; packets will not be shipped and are available only on race day. The event is produced as an inclusion event so people of varying ages and abilities may participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
