About the race

5K Zombie Run & One Mile Family Fun Run takes place at Courthouse Square in Morganton, NC. Morganton Rotary Club, with UNC Health Blue Ridge, hosts a 5K Zombie Run and a one-mile Family Fun Run. Participants in the Zombie Run wear Velcro belts with three flags and must finish with at least one flag as zombies stationed along the route try to steal flags; prizes go to those finishing fastest with flags intact.

The Family Fun Run is zombie-free. After-party with food and music, fall festival atmosphere. Proceeds support Burke County Habitat for Humanity and Enola Group.
