Austin Spartan Event Weekend
The event takes place May 16 and 17 2026 at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas. It features Spartan obstacle course races set across Texas Hill Country terrain near Austin, and the weekend also includes a Spartan Trail Race.
The course winds through rolling hills, wildflower fields and areas with desert cactus, crosses dry creek beds and exposed granite, and includes stretches of red dirt trails and rocky red granite slabs. The venue encompasses over 62 miles of varied terrain.
Race formats offered include:
- Sprint: 5 km, 20 obstacles
- Super: 10 km, 25 obstacles
- Kids Race: 1–3 km with obstacles
- Hurricane Heat 12 hour
- Hurricane Heat 4 hour
- Spectator access available
The Sprint shows an average completion time of 1 hour 32 minutes 12 seconds. The event listings note a 4.5 rating based on 35 racer testimonials. Team entries can be arranged so teammates share a start time and team purchases may provide group savings. A service member discount of up to 25 percent is available for eligible U.S. service and public safety personnel with verification via GOVX.
