Event Details
The Charlotte Spartan Event Weekend takes place at Porter Farms in Concord, North Carolina. The venue is a working farm located just outside Charlotte and a 15-minute drive from downtown Concord. It has been used as a Spartan venue for years.
Course & Terrain
The event features various race distances held across Friday and Saturday. The core adult races are a 5 km Sprint with 20 obstacles and a 10 km Super with 25 obstacles. There is also a Kids Race covering 1-3 km with obstacles. The terrain at Porter Farms is described as raw, rugged, and varied. It includes thick mud, creek beds, flowing water, and open pastureland. The course does not feature long, steep climbs but offers uneven ground, rolling trails, and natural features that require focus.
Other Activities
In addition to the races, an Obstacle Workshop is offered on Thursday. Two endurance events, a 4-hour and a 12-hour Hurricane Heat, are scheduled for Friday. Spectator tickets are also available for Friday. The event offers team registration, which allows participants to secure the same start time. Discounts are available for US Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, First Responders, and US Government employees through a verification process.
