Event overview
Terrain Race will hold an obstacle race on September 05, 2026, at the Golden Spike Event Center in Ogden, Utah (1000 N 1200 W). The event features an on-site festival area with sponsors, food vendors, music, and post-race competitions. Spectator admission is free.
Distances
- 5K Race: approximately 3 miles with more than 15 obstacles; includes a finishers medal, bib, and commemorative shirt. Participants aged 14 and older may run the 5K alone; ages 7–13 may run the 5K when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Mini Monkey Run: half mile kid-sized course for ages 2–10; includes a medal and bib; parents may accompany Mini Monkeys at no charge.
Course and obstacles
The course follows a 5K structure and typically includes mud, walls, ropes, monkey bars, and at least 15 other obstacles. Obstacle types and placement are adapted to the venue terrain and may vary by event.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is scheduled the Friday before the race; if a participant misses pickup, the packet can be reserved for race day for a $5 cash fee per packet. There may be a cash-only parking charge of up to $20 collected by the venue. Gear check is available for a fee of $5 paid at the event. The event also supports a local charity through donations after the race.
Teams, waves, and volunteers
