Event Details
The Warrior Wolf Challenge is a hybrid fitness event taking place in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, at Zeta Wolf Fitness. It is described as the third annual edition of the event. Athletes compete in separate workouts themed around three Slavic gods.
Event Format
The challenge consists of three distinct workouts.
The "Stribog" workout involves a 3-mile ruck with a 30 lb or 20 lb weight requirement, or a 2-mile run with no ruck in the scaled division.
The "Perun" workout includes a 200-meter tank push/pull, a 100-meter trap bar farmer carry, and a series of barbell cleans with increasing weight leading to a maximum lift attempt. The elite division uses heavier weights (265 lb to 225 lb for men, 185 lb to 155 lb for women), while the scaled division uses lighter weights (185 lb to 155 lb for men, 125 lb to 105 lb for women).
The "Veles" workout is an obstacle course, with mandatory completion of obstacles for participants in the elite division.
Divisions and Awards
Participants can choose between elite and scaled divisions, and this choice can be made just before the event starts. The competition offers cash prizes for the top three elite male and female finishers. The top male and female athlete overall are awarded the Wolf Chalice. Giveaways are also available for the scaled division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
