Tackle The Tar

The Tackle the Tar Obstacle Course Race is an exciting 5K event scheduled for May 17, 2025, at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex. Organized by the Rotary Club of Rocky Mount, this race features a challenging course that includes over 20 obstacles, such as a mud pit and various climbing challenges, set against the backdrop of historic Battle Park. The event also includes a Kid's 1-mile fun run. Proceeds from the race support college scholarships for local students, with over $600,000 raised since 2016.
