MKK's Rugged Race, held annually at Diamond Lake Resort in Owensboro, Kentucky, is a challenging 5K obstacle course featuring 28 obstacles such as water crossings, barbed wire crawls, rope climbs, and mud. The event offers multiple race categories: Elite Rugged for serious athletes aged 15 and older, Ultimate Rugged for individuals and teams aged 12 and up, and two youth divisions—Rugged Kids (ages 8-11) and Rugged Rascals (ages 4-7). Mud Happens, One Bad Mud Run is an annual 3-mile obstacle course event held at Phil Moore Park in Alvaton, Kentucky. Children 10-12 must be accompanied by a paid adult, while kids 9 and under can enjoy a free designated mud play area with smaller obstacles.
